Every night at 8pm, I have Google scheduled to turn off the TV and announce that it is time to read a book. My daughters hear that and they run into their playroom and pick out a pile of books and I alternate between their choices and read until bedtime.
Last night, Isabella picked one of the learning books from one of my businesses, PaperPie. It is called Finger Match Pre-K Readiness, which you can purchase here https://n13076.paperpie.com/p/956/finger-match-pre-k-readiness from me. I was so proud of her because we got through almost the entire book and she got them all right. She was so excited. I was so excited.
My philosophy at this point with my girls is to let them lead with their learning. I give them the tools and I sometimes guide them, but at this age, with their homeschooling, their job is to learn by playing by choosing what they do themselves. I was so happy that she chose that book and she led me through it herself. I was very proud of her initiative and happiness while learning and her determination to get through the entire book. And she was so excited to get the answers correct as well.
Success!
